Greenville, S.C. – Furman returns home from a four-game road trip to host the South Carolina State Bulldogs for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Tuesday at Timmons Arena.

Furman, 3-3 on the season, is coming off a 92-86 loss at American Athletic Conference member UAB on Saturday night in Birmingham, Ala. The Paladins rallied from an 11-point deficit to grab a late 75-71 lead, but the Blazers connected on their final seven shots to secure the victory. Guard
Marcus Foster, who ranks fifth in the nation averaging 23.2 points per game, paced the Paladins with 27 points at UAB while
PJay Smith Jr. added 15,
Tyrese Hughey scored 14, and
Alex Williams totaled 12 points.
Tuesday's game marks the 20
th all-time meeting between the Paladins and Bulldogs with Furman holding a 14-5 series lead. In last season's meeting at Timmons Arena on December 3, 2022,
Mike Bothwell and Foster each scored 16 points and Williams added 15 to propel the Paladins to an 88-76 victory.
South Carolina State, in their second season under the direction of head coach Erik Martin, are 2-5 after a 92-74 loss at Missouri State on Saturday. Mitchell Taylor leads the Bulldogs averaging 10.7 points per game while Davion Everett has contributed 9.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per outing.
Following Tuesday's contest, the Paladins hit the road to face Princeton on Saturday, December 2, and Arkansas on Monday, December 4.
