2024 Furman Softball Schedule
Greenville, S.C. – A total of 25 home games, including 12 versus Southern Conference foes at Pepsi Stadium, highlight Furman softball's 2024 schedule, which was announced this week by Paladin head coach
Stacey Johnson-Whitfield.

The Paladins open the season with four games at UNC Wilmington's tournament February 9-11 before hosting IUPUI, Towson, Georgetown, and Lipscomb in the Furman Invitational on February 16-18 at Pepsi Stadium. After a trip to SEC foe South Carolina and contests against Louisville, Bowling Green, and Coastal Carolina at the Battle at the Beach in Conway, S.C., Furman will welcome Akron and South Dakota to Pepsi Stadium March 1-3 for the Paladin Classic.

The rest of Furman's non-conference schedule includes trips to nationally-ranked Clemson, North Carolina, USC Upstate, and Queens. Georgia will host Furman, Jacksonville State, and Miami Ohio at the Bulldog Bash in Athens, Ga., and the Paladins will entertain both Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian in home doubleheaders.

This season's SoCon slate features three-game series at home against Western Carolina, first-year program Wofford, Samford, and ETSU while the Paladins are set to visit UNC Greensboro, Mercer, and Chattanooga. The 2024 SoCon Softball Championship will take place May 8-11 at UNCG Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.

Furman returns starters at seven of eight positions, as well as all five of its pitchers, from a 2023 squad that posted a 20-32 overall record, 8-9 SoCon mark, and finished third in the league standings. The list of returnees is highlighted by sophomore and 2023 SoCon Freshman of the Year
Kiley Perry, first team all-league center fielder
Ashlee Lykins, and first team All-SoCon designated player
Sylvia Burroughs. The Paladins also return 2022 All-SoCon pitcher
Sierra Tufts and 2023 All-SoCon hurler
Emme Buzhardt.
