Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team resumes its three-game road trip on Friday afternoon when it travels to Kennesaw, Ga. for a 4 p.m. opening draw against the Kennesaw State Owls at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

The Paladins (2-3) won their second consecutive game last Saturday with a 9-8 victory at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. Hannah Dintino netted her first hat trick of the season to lead Furman offensively while Paige Harman contributed two goals. Katelyn Sousa, Anna Roser, Reynolds Hester, and Sophie Shaw all scored once. Harman won a career high eight draws while seven different players caused one turnover. Lily Rathbun, the reigning Big South Defensive Player of the Week, picked up six ground balls to go with a career high 16 saves in goal.

The Paladins held a 20-19 advantage in ground balls and 12-9 in draws. For the second consecutive game, Furman forced its most turnovers of the season after the Monarchs compiled 19.

Kennesaw State is currently 1-6 on the season following a 10-8 loss at home to Manhattan on Wednesday. The Owls are under the direction of seventh-year head coach Laura Maness.

Friday's matchup marks the ninth all-time meeting between the Paladins and Kennesaw State. Furman holds a 7-1 advantage in the all-time series. The Paladins defeated the Owls, 16-14, in the last meeting in 2021.

Furman closes out its road trip on Saturday, March 25 with a 12 p.m. opening draw at Liberty.
