Dintino’s Golden Goal Lifts Furman to 8-7 OT Win at Kennesaw State

Paladins Earn Third Consecutive Victory

Kennesaw, Ga. – Hannah Dintino's third goal of the game proved to be the game-winner as the Furman women's lacrosse team secured its third consecutive win with an 8-7 victory over the Kennesaw State Owls on Friday afternoon at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Furman improves to 3-3 on the season while Kennesaw State drops to 1-7 overall.

Dintino, who recorded her second straight hat trick, scored with just over a minute remaining in the first overtime period on a free position attempt to lift the Paladins to their third non-conference victory this year.

Furman led 7-5 just over two minutes into the fourth quarter when Anna Roser netted her first goal of the contest. The Paladins would be held scoreless over the final 12:56 of regulation as the Owls scored the last two goals to send the game into overtime tied at 7-7. Kennesaw State started the second quarter registering the first two goals before Dintino answered with her second to extend the Paladins' lead to 5-2 at the 4:13 mark. The Owls added a late goal to cut Furman's advantage to 5-3 at halftime.

Kennesaw State would even the score at 5-5 less than three minutes into the second half before Shaw gave the Paladins the lead back at 6-5 with 8:17 remaining in the third quarter.
