Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team plays its first home game of the season Friday afternoon hosting the East Carolina Pirates at 12 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.

The Paladins (0-2) wrapped up its two-game road trip to begin the season on Tuesday with a 20-9 loss at 7
th-ranked Florida.
Meagan Beal tallied her first hat trick of the season, while
Sophie Shaw added three points on two goals and an assist, to lead Furman offensively.
Hannah Dintino and
Anna Roser both contributed one goal.
Reynolds Hester finished with a team high two assists. Beal would also go on to win six draws and Roser picked up three ground balls. Shaw and
Lily Rathbun both caused one turnover.
In goal, Rathbun registered double-digit saves for the eighth time in her career after totaling 10.
East Carolina is currently 4-1 on the season following an 11-9 win at Queens (N.C.) last Saturday. The Pirates are under the direction of sixth-year head coach Amanda Moore.
Friday's matchup will be the third all-time meeting between Furman and East Carolina with the series tied at 1-1. The Paladins won the first-ever meeting during the 2020 season in Greenville while the Pirates opened the 2021 campaign with a win in Greenville, N.C.
Furman remains at home on Tuesday, March 7 to host Stonehill at 12 p.m.
