Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team continues Big South play on Saturday afternoon when it hosts the Campbell Camels at 1 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.

The Paladins (4-4, 1-0 Big South) opened conference play on Wednesday evening with a 19-14 victory over Longwood at Paladin Stadium. Furman forced Longwood into 17 turnovers throughout the contest while finishing with 18 ground balls and holding a 19-16 advantage in draws.
Meagan Beal, who scored her 100
th career goal in the contest, and
Sophia Buzelis combined for 11 goals to lead the Paladins offensively. Beal registered a season high seven points after matching her career best of six goals while Buzelis compiled a career high five goals.
Hannah Dintino poured in five points on two goals and tying her career high of three assists.
Sophie Shaw won a career high nine draws and
Katelyn Sousa tied her season best of three caused turnovers. In goal,
Lily Rathbun grabbed 10 saves and tied for the team-lead of three ground balls along with
Grace Gibson.
Campbell enters the weekend with a 5-4 overall record and 1-0 mark in the league. The Camels began their conference schedule with a 15-4 win over Radford on Wednesday. Campbell is under the direction of 10
th-year head coach Dawn Easley.
Saturday's matchup represents the seventh all-time meeting between Furman and the Camels. The Paladins own a 5-1 lead in the all-time series including a 16-15 overtime win last season in Buies Creek, N.C.
Furman travels to High Point, N.C. on Wednesday, April 5 for a 5 p.m. opening draw at High Point.
