Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team is scheduled to play three road matches over the course of five days when it travels to the state of Texas for non-conference contests with No. 32 Baylor, UTSA, and UT Arlington.
The Paladins begin their road trip on Sunday evening when they face Baylor at 7 p.m. EST. Furman then heads to UTSA on March 7 for a 2 p.m. EST match, and then concludes the road trip on March 9 at 3 p.m. EST versus UT Arlington.

The Paladins (4-7) wrapped up their five-match homestand on Wednesday dropping a 6-1 decision to Gardner-Webb. The Runnin' Bulldogs captured the doubles point before winning five consecutive singles matches to secure the 6-1 victory.
Elijah Poritzky, playing at No. 3 singles, picked up a straight set victory over Victor Putter 6-2, 6-2.
Baylor, ranked 33
rd in the latest ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, is 7-8 overall this season while UTSA currently sits at 7-4 and plays at #49 Texas A&M on Saturday. UT Arlington stands at 6-4 on the season and plays both Lamar and #49 Texas A&M before facing Furman.
Baylor leads the all-time series over the Paladins 1-0. Furman will be facing UTSA and UT Arlington for the first time in program history.
The Paladins are off until March 18 when they return to Mickel Tennis Center to host Converse and Richmond in a doubleheader. The following day, Furman opens SoCon play at home against UNC Greensboro.
