Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team is back on the road Saturday afternoon traveling to Macon, Ga. for a 12 p.m. opening draw against the Mercer Bears in Big South action at Five Star Stadium.

The Paladins (7-5, 4-1 Big South) are currently on a three-game winning streak following a 14-6 win at Radford on Wednesday. Furman, who forced the Highlanders into 15 turnovers, concluded the game with 18 ground balls and held a 17-7 advantage in draws.
Hannah Dintino, who scored her 100
th career goal in the contest, along with
Meagan Beal and
Molly Faul each finished with a team high four points to lead the Paladins offensively. Dintino, Faul, and
Anna Roser all compiled hat tricks.
Katelyn Sousa picked up a team best three ground balls while
Sophie Shaw won a career high 12 draws.
Grace Gibson led the team with two caused turnovers. In goal,
Lily Rathbun totaled eight saves and two ground balls.
Mercer is currently tied atop the Big South standings with a 5-0 record and sits at 11-2 overall. The Bears are presently on a six-game winning streak. Mercer is under the direction of eighth-year head coach Samantha Eustace.
Saturday's matchup represents the 12
th all-time meeting between Furman and the Bears. The Paladins hold a 6-5 lead in the all-time series.
Furman wraps up its road trip on Monday, April 17 against Virginia Tech at 3 p.m. in Blacksburg, Va.
