DURHAM, N.C. -- Furman placed three runners among the top eight in the women's 5,000m to highlight a strong showing this weekend at the Duke Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Madelynne Cadeau, a junior from Cumming, Ga., led all Paladins for the weekend after turning in a time of 16:29.99 to finish third in the women's 5,000m.  Sophomore Sierra Bower finished seventh with a PR of 16:33.78 in the event, followed by freshman Carly Wilkes in eighth place with a personal best of 16:34.66.

Also on the women's side, senior Abigail Robertson finished 16th with a personal-best time of 4:26.05 in the 1,500m invitational race, while sophomore Kaylie Armitage placed 22nd in the event with a time of 4:27.89.  Senior Caroline Nguyen posted a time of 1:09.84 for 11th place in the 400m hurdles, and Armitage led the Paladins with a 13th place finish at 2:12.54 in the 800m.

On the men's side, junior Carson Williams crossed the line in 3:44.70 for 11th place in the 1,500m invitational, and senior Jonah Dill was 11th in both the 110m hurdles (15.09) and the 400m hurdles (59.13).  Senior Cameron Ponder, who led a strong group in the men's 5,000m, finished 12th with a time of 14:21.63, while sophomore Nick Goldstein posted a personal-best time of 14:28.18 for 21st in the event.  

Junior Adrian Gonzalez recorded a time of 23.52 for 13th in the 200m, and sophomore Casey Burr posted a 15th-place finish with a time of 10:06.58 in the 3,000m Steeplechase. 

Furman will compete at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C., on April 21.
