Greenville, S.C. – Furman softball standout Riley Ludlam was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Third Team, it was announced on Thursday afternoon by the NFCA.
 
A native of Fort Myers, Fla., Ludlam batted .372 with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs this season en route to earning Southern Conference Player of the Year honors and first team All-SoCon laurels. The Paladins' starting catcher in all 49 games she played, Ludlam committed just two errors on the season and posted a .988 fielding percentage. She ranked second in the league with 15 doubles and struck out just seven times in 148 at bats.
 
Over her four-year career as a Paladin, Ludlam hit .309 with 46 doubles, 25 home runs, and 117 RBIs. Her 46 doubles rank fourth in school history while her 25 homers are tied for the second most in a career by a Paladin. Ludlam capped her career with 159 hits in 169 games at Furman.
 
The Paladins posted a 20-32 overall record in 2023 and finished third in the SoCon standings with an 8-9
