Furman Women's Soccer Schedule

Greenville, S.C. – Home matchups versus Georgia, Samford, and Mercer, along with road trips to Clemson and South Carolina, highlight Furman's 2023 women's soccer schedule.

The Paladins open play on August 8 with a 7 p.m. exhibition match versus the Georgia Bulldogs on Seagraves Field at Stone Soccer Stadium. Presbyterian hosts Furman in the regular season opener for both schools on Thursday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in Clinton, S.C.

Georgia Southern (Aug. 20) and North Greenville (Aug. 24) visit Stone Stadium during the opening month of the 2023 season before the Paladins embark on a four-game road trip that includes trips to USC Upstate (Aug. 27), Clemson (Aug. 31), UNC Asheville (Sept. 3), and South Carolina (Sept. 10).

After hosting South Carolina State in the non-conference finale on September 14, Furman opens Southern Conference play by entertaining ETSU at Stone Stadium on Thursday, September 21. The Paladins will also welcome The Citadel (Sept. 28), defending SoCon champion Samford (Oct. 5), and Mercer (Oct. 15) to Greenville during the 2023 campaign, while making league road trips to Western Carolina, Chattanooga, UNC Greensboro, VMI, and Wofford.

The SoCon Women's Soccer Championship gets underway with first round action on October 24 with the championship match set for the weekend of November 4-5.

Furman is in its 19th season under the leadership of Andrew Burr, the SoCon's all-time winningest head coach. The Paladins posted an 8-9-2 overall record and 3-4-2 mark in league play a year ago with one of the youngest teams in the SoCon. Burr's 2023 squad features the return of 10 starters, including former SoCon Player of the Year Nieva Gaither and fellow All-SoCon choice Shania Diaz. Miya Poplin, who garnered All-SoCon accolades in 2021 before missing most of the 2022 season, also is set to return to the Furman lineup.
