Greenville, S.C. – Furman volleyball and head coach Michelle Young announced its 2023 schedule today, hosting 11 teams at Alley Gymnasium this season.

Along with the 11 home matches, Furman will play 16 contests against Southern Conference opponents including eight inside Alley Gymnasium.

Fans can get an early look at the 2023 Paladins on Saturday, August 19 when they host Georgia Southern in exhibition match at 2 p.m. inside Alley Gymnasium.

Furman kicks off its 2023 slate August 25-26 when it travels to Blacksburg, Va. to face Quinnipiac, Morgan State, and Virginia Tech in the Hokie Invitational. The Paladins will then face UNC Asheville in a home-and-home series August 30 and September 1. Furman hosts the Bulldogs in its home opener on August 30.

Following a home match against USC Upstate on September 5, Furman heads to Charlotte, N.C. September 8-9 for the Queens Fall Classic and is scheduled to take on Marshall, South Carolina State, and Queens (N.C.). The Paladins close out non-conference play September 14-15 versus Presbyterian and Georgia State, with the contest against the Panthers being played in Greenville.

Furman opens the SoCon portion of its schedule with three consecutive road matches at Western Carolina (September 22), East Tennessee State (September 23), and Wofford (September 28). The Paladins return home for the first time in conference play on September 30 hosting Samford.

The month of October for Furman starts off with back-to-back road matches October 6-7 at Chattanooga and Mercer. The Paladins then play four straight home contests against The Citadel (October 13), UNC Greensboro (October 14), East Tennessee State (October 19), and Western Carolina (October 20). The month finishes with a road match at Samford (October 26) followed by a home matchup with Wofford (October 28), which begins a three-match homestand.

Furman concludes its home schedule the weekend of November 3-4 by entertaining Mercer and Chattanooga. The regular season schedule wraps up November 10-11 at UNC Greensboro and The Citadel.

The 2023 SoCon Volleyball Championship is being hosted by Wofford November 17-19 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg.
