Greenville, S.C. – Furman continues a two-game instate road trip on Wednesday when it visits The Citadel for a 7 p.m. tip-off at McAlister Fieldhouse in Charleston, S.C.

Furman (11-10, 5-3 SoCon) will be going for a regular season sweep of the Bulldogs after claiming an 82-68 decision in the first meeting between the rivals on January 10 at Timmons Arena.
Alex Williams connected on 7-of-9 three-point attempts to lead the Paladins with 26 points and Furman shot 55% from the floor in the first meeting versus the Bulldogs, which began a five-game winning streak.
The Paladins suffered their first loss in the last six outings with a 77-67 defeat at Wofford on Saturday night. The Terriers built a 13-point lead during the first half and withstood a pair of Furman rallied to snap a four-game skid against Furman. Guard
Marcus Foster paced the Paladins with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. The performance marked the third double-double in the last four games for Foster since returning from injury that caused the redshirt senior to miss nine consecutive games. He is averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists per game over the four-game stretch.
Furman holds a 132-88 lead in the all-time series versus The Citadel and the Paladins have won 14 of the last 16 meetings. The Bulldogs claimed a 69-65 upset victory over the eventual Southern Conference champion Paladins in the last meeting between the schools in Charleston last February.
The Citadel is 9-12 overall and 1-7 in the SoCon entering Wednesday's game. The Bulldogs dropped a 90-62 decision at Chattanooga on Saturday after scoring a 68-66 home win versus Mercer last Wednesday night.
Following Wednesday's trip to The Citadel, Furman hosts UNC Greensboro in a nationally televised showdown at Timmons Arena on Sunday, February 4. The 2 p.m. contest is scheduled to air live on ESPNU.
