Greenville, S.C. – Furman interim head women's lacrosse coach
Lauren Farber announced today the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season.
The Paladins, who will be competing in their 10
th season in program history, are slated to play a total of 17 contests during the 2024 season highlighted by nine at Paladin Stadium.
Furman is coming off a 10-8 overall record last season and finished the year having won three of its last four games. The Paladins, who are entering their third season in the Big South Conference, posted a 7-2 league mark and finished tied for second in the conference standings. For the second straight year, Furman advanced to the semifinals of the Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship.
"We are very excited for our upcoming schedule and how it will prepare us to bring back a championship ring at the end of the season," said Farber.
The Paladins' 2024 slate also includes eight conference matchups with four taking place in Greenville.
Furman gets the season underway with back-to-back home games against Clemson on February 14 and Kennesaw State on February 18. Following an away contest at Elon on February 21, the Paladins return home for the next two games versus East Carolina on February 24 and James Madison on March 2.
For the first time in program history, Furman will travel to Eugene, Ore. on March 10 to face Oregon.
The Paladins will host Virginia Tech on March 12 before traveling to Queens (N.C.) on March 16 and Florida on March 19. Furman opens Big South action at home versus Wofford on March 27 before concluding the month at Gardner-Webb on March 30.
The month of April for the Paladins begins on April 6 with a road contest at Presbyterian. After hosting defending conference champion Mercer on April 10, Furman travels to Winthrop on April 13 and Longwood on April 17 for its final road games of the season.
The Paladins conclude the regular season at home with back-to-back contests against High Point on April 20 and Radford on April 24.
The Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship semifinals are scheduled for May 3, followed by the championship game on May 5.
