GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman cross country teams placed five runners on the All-Southeast Region team, as released today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The top 25 finishers at Friday's region meet in Rock Hill, S.C., were honored as all-region selections. Â
Fifth-year student Dylan Schubert, a two-time cross country All-American from Loveland, Colo., finished third with a time of 29:49.8 to pace Furman in the 10K race, while fifth-year student Carson Williams placed 12th with a time of 30:04.0 to represent the Paladin men. Schubert was honored as an all-region selection for the fourth-straight year, while Williams earned a spot on the team for the second-consecutive season.
On the women's side, junior Carly Wilkes paced Furman with a time of 20:54.0 on the 6K course to finish 14th. Junior Jenna Mulhern finished right behind Wilkes in 15th place after crossing the line in 20:56.0, and senior Kaylie Armitage turned in a time of 21:02.6 to finish 18th. The Paladin trio each earned an all-region citation for the second-straight year.Â
Both Paladin teams claimed their 12th-straight Southern Conference titles last month.Â
The Paladin men will compete at the NCAA Championships Saturday in Madison, Wis. Race time is set for 11:10 a.m.
