Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team opens a seven-match road trip this week when it travels to face No. 69 Clemson, Jacksonville State, and No. 37 North Carolina for a trio of non-conference matches over the course of five days.
Furman begins the road trip on Thursday heading to Clemson for a 12 p.m. match before traveling to Jacksonville State on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Paladins are then scheduled to face North Carolina on Monday, February 26 at 4 p.m.

The Paladins (6-4) return to action for the first time since February 11 when they defeated Xavier, 5-2, at Mickel Tennis Center.
Furman won both completed doubles matches from
Thomas Kennedy and
Connor Laymon at No. 2, and
Cole Burnam and
Alex Han at No. 3. Burnam and Han began the match for the Paladins with a 6-4 victory over Alex Adamec and Pascal Mosberger. Kennedy and Laymon, playing together for the first time this season, secured the doubles point after also defeating Jorge Santamaria and Kyle Totorica by a 6-4 score.
Furman opened singles play by winning three consecutive matches at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 to capture the match.
Leonardo Dal Boni, playing at No. 1, secured his sixth straight win when he topped Mosberger, 6-1, 6-2, and Kennedy followed at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Charlie Temming.
Walker Allen clinched the match for the Paladins with his 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 win over Totorica in the No. 4 contest. Laymon battled back in his No. 3 match to beat Cristian Gonzalez in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7.
North Carolina, ranked 37
th in this week's ITA Division I Men's Tennis Rankings, currently sits at 5-3 on the season. Clemson, who has a ranking of 69
th this week by the ITA, and Jacksonville State are both 5-4 overall.
Furman owns a 1-0 lead in the all-time series over Jacksonville State, but trail Clemson 37-4 and North Carolina 28-1.
The Paladins continue their road swing on Friday, March 1 when they open SoCon play against UNC Greensboro at 2 p.m.
