Greenville, S.C. – The Southern Conference softball schedule begins this weekend when the Furman Paladins entertain Western Carolina in a three-game series at Pepsi Stadium.
The series opens on Saturday with a doubleheader, which has been moved to 3 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather. The series finale is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday. All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+. Saturday's twinbill has been designated as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day with selected members of the Furman community scheduled to throw out ceremonial first pitches prior to the series opener. On Sunday, Furman will hold a postgame Easter egg hunt with all children invited to participate.

Sierra Tufts (7-4, 3.30 ERA) picked up the win in both ends of the doubleheader while rightfielder
Hannah Poole, who delivered a walk-off triple in game one, collected five hits and drove in four runs on the night.
The Paladins hold a 41-19 lead in the all-time series versus Western Carolina and have won each of the last seven meetings versus the Catamounts. Last season, Furman claimed its second straight three-game series sweep by outscoring the Catamounts 23-6 during the series in Cullowhee, N.C. Poole drove in 10 runs during the series en route to earning SoCon Player of the Week honors.
Western Carolina opens SoCon play at 7-12 on the season following a 6-0 loss at home versus No. 7 Tennessee on Thursday night.
Admission is free to all three games at Pepsi Stadium.
