How Your Support Makes A Difference

All funds raised through the Diamond Club directly enhance the Furman Softball student-athlete experience. While the coaching staff maintains discretion in allocating funds based on program needs, your contributions help support:

Fueling & Nutrition

  • Establishing a fueling station to support student-athletes with healthy, grab-and-go snacks (yogurt, protein bars, chocolate milk, peanut butter, fruit) before and after practice or between classes - essential for those with demanding schedules who often don't have time to get to the dining hall.
  • At-Home Game Meals:  Covers meals for student-athletes after doubleheaders or late home games, when the dining hall is closed. Ensures players are properly fueled and recovering without relying on fast food or skipping meals.
  • Team Dinners For Travel:  Supports out-of-town meals, giving players proper nutrition while also fostering team bonding and culture on the road.
  • Team gatherings and meals that promote team culture, connection, and bonding throughout the season.

Team Gear & Apparel

  • Additional apparel beyond team issued practice gear, such as winter jackets, rain jackets, and travel apparel.

Health & Recovery

  • Advanced recovery tools such as Normatec, Hyperice, and Venom Go and Venom Back devices to promote player wellness and reduce injury risk.
  • Access to nutritionists and sports psychologists and wellness resources (workshops, mindfulness apps, counseling partnerships).

These tools are vital in keeping our players feeling their best, particularly during extended road trips and tournament play.

Training & Performance Technology

  • Analytics software for performance tracking, such as Track man, Hit Trax, Rapsodo, and Go Route, and opponent scouting, such as annual subscriptions for Synergy and 643.
  • Training aids including iHack Attack pitching machine, swing tools, reactive nets, and other essential resources for skill development.

Facility & Equipment Enhancements

  • Bullpen, batting cage, scoreboard, field padding, and signage upgrades
  • AWRE Sports Camera and Analytics
