Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's soccer team raises the curtain on its 2024 regular season Thursday afternoon when it visits the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at CSU Soccer Field.
 
The Paladins return a wealth of experience from a 2023 squad that posted a 7-5-7 overall record and 3-1-5 league mark before advancing to the semifinals of the Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. Along with former SoCon Player of the Year and 2024 preseason first team all-league choice Nieva Gaither, the Furman midfield also returns 2024 All-SoCon selection Shania Diaz and welcomes University of Tennessee transfer Tara Katz. Leading scorer Valentina Mosquera returns to front the Paladin attack while centerback Miya Poplin and goalkeeper Addison Corn are set for their fifth seasons at Furman.

Following Thursday's season opener, Furman travels to nationally-ranked South Carolina on Sunday before opening its home schedule versus Presbyterian on Thursday, August 22, at Stone Stadium.
