GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Sophomore Audrey Ryu (-1) shot a 1-under 71 to move into a tie for eighth Saturday in the second round of the 50th Annual Lady Paladin Invitational at the par-72, 6,262 yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.

A native of Dublin, Ohio, Ryu teed off on No. 1 in the shotgun start and birdied three of her first six holes, scoring birdies on No. 1, No. 4, and No. 6.  She turned at 2-under then added an additional birdie on No. 15 to finish the round five strokes behind individual leaders Casilda Allendesalazar (-6) of North Florida and Kara Carter (-4) of Xavier, who each sit at 6-under after 36 holes of play.  

Junior Liza Lapeyre (+2) and senior Alise Knudson (+2) are tied for 15th with one round to play.  Lapeyre carded a 73 with three birdies on Saturday, while Knudson tallied a 76 with three birdies.  Freshman Eva Ringwald (+6) scored a 77 to move into a tie for 31st, while sophomore Kelsi Mauzy (+12) recorded a 78 with birdies on No. 6 and No. 17 to move into 59th place.  

Freshmen Jenna Madden (+3), who is playing as an individual, paced the Paladins with a 68 on Saturday.  After shooting even par through 14 holes, she birdied No. 12 then eagled the par-5 No. 15.  Madden sealed the round with a birdie on No. 15 to move into a tie for 20th.  Freshman Andrea Marin Raga (+6), who is also playing as an individual, is tied for 52nd after shooting a 77 with a birdie on No. 2 on Saturday.  

Xavier (-1) leads the tournament by two strokes over UNC Wilmington (+1).  Western Kentucky (+6) sits in third, followed by Furman (+9) in fourth place.  Old Dominion (+10) completes the top five in the 13-team field.

The 54-hole tournament concludes with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.  Furman will tee off on No. 1 through No. 4 and will play in a group with Xavier, UNC Wilmington, and Western Kentucky.
