2024-25 Furman Men's Basketball Schedule
Greenville, S.C. – Seventeen home games, multiple match-ups against mid-major powers, and a trip to one of college basketball's most historic arenas highlight Furman's
2024-25 men's basketball schedule, which was released on Tuesday.
The Paladins open the season with a charity exhibition on Sunday, October 27, versus SEC power Auburn at Bon Secours Wellness Arena before tipping off the regular season on November 4 versus Columbia International. Both games will be played at the Well, which will serve as Furman's primary homecourt in 2024-25 while Timmons Arena undergoes a $40 million renovation. BSWA will host 14 home games with two set to be played at Davis Field House at Bob Jones University and one slated for Parker Gymnasium at Legacy Early College.
Mid-major showdowns against Jacksonville, Tulane, and Princeton highlight the Paladins' non-conference home schedule. The match-up versus the Dolphins is part of a new SoCon-ASUN scheduling alliance that also includes a trip to Fort Myers, Fla., to take on Florida Gulf Coast in December. The Green Wave visit Greenville after prevailing in a thrilling double overtime contest versus the Paladins last season in New Orleans, La., while perennial Ivy League power Princeton's visit gives Furman a chance to avenge last season's dramatic last-second loss in Princeton, N.J.
The Paladins face Seattle on November 26 at the Vegas Showdown in Las Vegas, Nev., before traveling to Phog Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan., to take on the nationally-ranked Kansas Jayhawks on November 30. Another Ivy League power, the Harvard Crimson, host Furman in the Paladins' non-conference finale on December 21 in Cambridge, Mass.
This season's Southern Conference slate begins with a three-game road trip prior to home dates versus Wofford (Jan. 11), ETSU (Jan. 15), and Chattanooga (Jan. 18) at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Defending SoCon champion Samford visits the Well on Wednesday, January 29, and the Paladins open the February home schedule by entertaining Western Carolina at BJU's Davis Field House. Mercer (Feb. 12), UNC Greensboro (Feb. 15), VMI (Feb. 22), and The Citadel (Feb. 26) also visit Greenville in February.
The 2024-25 SoCon Men's Basketball Championship is set for March 7-10 at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, N.C.
