Men's Basketball Begins Crucial Homestand Monday Versus Wofford

Paladins Host Wofford On Monday, ETSU On Wednesday, And Chattanooga On Saturday

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team opens a crucial three-game homestand this week when it hosts Southern Conference rival Wofford on Monday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
 
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on Monday at the Well, and Furman is currently running a flash sale with tickets available in section 116 for $10 by clicking here. The matchup, sponsored by Bon Secours, was originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed due to forecasted inclement weather. All tickets previously purchased for Saturday will be honored for Monday's game. 
 
The Furman-Wofford contest will air on ESPN+ and Nexstar affiliates throughout the region, including CW 62 in the Greenville area. Fans can also listen to Dan Scott and Tom Van Hoy call the action on The Fan Upstate at 97.7 FM and 1330 AM in Greenville, 97.1 FM and 1490 AM in Spartanburg, and via the Audacy app. Links for the broadcast, live audio, and live statistics are available at FurmanPaladins.com.
 
Furman enters the first of three SoCon home games this week at 14-2 overall and 2-1 in league play following a 67-63 overtime triumph at The Citadel last Wednesday night. Nick Anderson fronted the Furman attack with 23 points while Cooper Bowser and PJay Smith Jr. each netted 13 points. Bowser added a career-best 14 rebounds to notch his second double-double of the season as the Paladins recorded their sixth true road victory of the year and seventh away from Greenville this season.
 
Wofford sports an 8-8 overall record and 2-1 league mark after scoring a 77-69 win over Western Carolina at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night. Senior guards Corey Tripp and Dillon Bailey paced the Terriers with 17 points apiece while Kyler Filewich added 16 points and 18 rebounds versus the Catamounts.
 
Monday's game is the 156th meeting between Wofford and Furman with the Paladins holding a 92-63 series lead. Furman has won five of the last six meetings, including an 82-67 decision at Timmons Arena last season. Winners of eight straight games at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Furman has won four of the last five encounters versus the Terriers in Greenville, including all three at the Well.
 
Following Monday's game, the Paladins will also host ETSU on Wednesday, January 15, and Chattanooga on Saturday, January 18 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Tickets for all Furman home games are available by clicking here.
