SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Furman men's cross country team placed three runners among the top seven Saturday at the Upstate Invite at the Milliken Cross Country Course in Spartanburg, S.C.

Sophomore Tripp Roemer posted a personal-best of 24:34.1 on the 8K course to take fourth place.  He was followed immediately by senior Luke Taylor in fifth at 24:35.5.  Senior Colton Kempney turned in personal-best time of 24:37.5 to finish seventh, and sophomore Alex Friedli was 68th with a time of 26:22.4.

The Paladins will defend their SoCon titles at the league championship on Nov. 1 at the Tryon Equestrian Center in Tryon, N.C.
