GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman placed 86 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Southern Conference Academic All-Conference Teams, it was announced today by the league office.
A total of 1,023 student-athletes were named to the team, comprised of 406 on the fall team and 662 in the spring. 72 student-athletes compiled a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA on the fall and spring teams combined. Mercer led the way with 12 student-athletes on the list, followed by Samford (10), and Chattanooga (10).
To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the fall semester and were required to complete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
With 15 honorees, the Furman women's track and field team paced the Paladin contingent followed by 13 selected from the football team. The men's track and field and volleyball teams both recorded nine selections with women's soccer contributing eight and men's soccer seven.
Western Carolina topped all SoCon schools with 121 combined selections, followed by Wofford (118), Samford (116), East Tennessee State (111), and Chattanooga (110).
