Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team will play four nationally televised games, including three at the newly renovated Timmons Arena, as part of the Southern Conference's television package, it was announced on Tuesday.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast Furman's January 7 contest at Chattanooga and the Paladins' home tilt versus Samford on January 29 at Timmons Arena. Furman's SoCon home matchup versus Chattanooga, originally scheduled for January 31, has been moved to Sunday, February 1, and will tip-off at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 while the Paladins will host UNC Greensboro on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. on February 8.
Along with the four nationally televised games announced by the SoCon, Furman will also battle A10 member Richmond on ESPN2 on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, in the opening round of the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational. A Paladin victory would secure another ESPN2 matchup the following day versus either Charlotte or Illinois State.
The Paladins open the new $40 million, donor-funded Timmons Arena with an exhibition game on Sunday when they host No. 15 Alabama in a front of a sold-out crowd at 3 p.m. on Nexstar and ESPN+. Furman's regular season opener is set for Monday, November 3, against High Point in The Field of 68 Tip-Off Marathon in Rock Hill, S.C.
