WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Furman sophomore Jenna Madden (+6) moved into a tie for 52nd Saturday at UNC Wilmington's Landfall Tradition, which is being held at the par 72, 6,106 yard Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course in Wilmington, N.C.
Madden, a native of McKinney, Texas, teed off on No. 10 and birdied No. 18 to turn at 1-over. She scored a second birdie on No. 8 to finish the day with a 76.
Freshman Olivia Hasselbach (+8) and sophomore Andrea Marin Raga (+4) are tied for 61st entering Sunday's final round. Hasselbach carded a 75 with birdies on No. 1 and No. 3, while Marin Raga scored a 76 with a team-high four birdies, including back to back birdies on No. 16 and No. 16.
Junior Audrey Ryu (+10) led Furman with a 74 with a birdie on No. 18 to move into a tie for 74th with freshman Ava Hanneman (+10), who recorded a 78 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 13.
Kent State's Veronika Kedronová (-10) surged into the individual lead after recording a 65 in Saturday's second round. Â
No. 24 North Carolina (-4) led the field at 4-under to take a three-stroke lead over 20th-ranked UCF (-1). No. 39 SMU (E) is in third, followed by fifth-ranked Wake Forest (+7), No. 14 Duke (+7), and No. 28 Kentucky (+7), who are tied for fourth place. The Paladins (+28) moved up into 17th place in the loaded field, which includes 15 Power 4 teams and 13 of the nation's top 40 teams.Â
The 54-hole tournament concludes on Sunday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. The Paladins will tee off on No. 15 through No. 17 and will play in a group with Notre Dame and Maryland. Admission is free and fans are welcome. Live results will be available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239907/scoring/team.
