GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Demeara Hinds scored 16 points, Mia Moore contributed 13 points and 11 assists, and Clemson used hot second half shooting to overcome a halftime deficit en route to a 76-58 victory over Furman in women's basketball action Sunday afternoon at Timmons Arena.

Clemson (4-2), which trailed 33-31 at intermission, hit on 18 of 28 shots (64.3%) over the game's final 20 minutes to record its third consecutive win its series with Furman (2-5).  

Hinds scored all of her 16 points in the second half, connecting on 7 of 8 shots and a pair of free throws, to pace the Tigers, and Rachel Rose contributed 10 of her 11 points over the final two periods.

After Furman's Clare Coyle drained a jump shot to pull Furman to within 38-37 three minutes into the third quarter, Clemson fashioned a 9-0 run on the strength of a pair of layups by Moore and a Rose layup to take a 47-37 lead with 4:41 to go.

Channing Warren's layup with 1:55 on the third quarter clock halted the Tigers' outburst, but the eight-point deficit would be as close as the Paladins would get for the remainder of the contest.

Furman sophomore guard Lauren Bailey matched Hinds with a game high 16 points, converting on all five 3-point attempts, and Chantelle Stuart contributed 13 points and eight assists.

Clemson forged a 39-26 edge in rebounding, with three players — Raven Thompson, Morgan Lee, and Moore — claimed six caroms apiece.

The Tigers converted 20 Furman turnovers into 25 points and were credited with 12 steals.

Furman shot 44.4 percent from the field (20x45) and put together its best 3-point shooting effort on the young season, making 10-of-17 attempts from beyond the arc.
