GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team plays its final home matches of the season this week when it entertains the Wofford Terriers and East Tennessee State Buccaneers in a pair of Southern Conference contests at Alley Gymnasium.
The Paladins get the week started on Thursday hosting Wofford at 6 p.m. Furman then returns to action Saturday night welcoming East Tennessee State for a 6 p.m. matchup. The Paladins will hold their Senior Night festivities prior to the East Tennessee State contest, honoring

Eva Wheeler, and student manager Liz Moody.

The Paladins (17-7, 8-4 SoCon) are coming off a 1-1 road trip last week at The Citadel and Mercer. Furman came back for a 3-1 win at The Citadel on October 31 before traveling to Mercer the next day and suffering a 3-1 setback.
In the win over The Citadel,
Brooke Scheffler recorded her first career double-double on career best 10 kills on .219 hitting, 20 digs, and three service aces to pace the Furman offense.
Ashtan Dodson fell one kill shy of a double-double, totaling nine kills and 10 digs.
Izzy Castelloe and
Lindsay Walch both finished with eight kills.
Eva Wheeler contributed 23 assists and
Kennedy Seekford 23 digs.
The Paladins concluded the contest hitting .245 overall and held a 49-42 advantage in kills, 46-39 in assists, and 78-72 in digs.
Furman had three players finish with 10 or more kills against Mercer led by
Ashley Stein's 11 on .265 hitting.
Tennyson Gorman registered her first career double-double on 10 kills and tying a career best of 10 blocks. Walch also had 10 kills.
Quinn Morrissey dished out 27 assists while Wheeler contributed 16 assists and nine digs. Seekford led all players with 25 digs.
The Paladins finished the match hitting .211 overall.
Wofford is currently 13-10 overall and 9-3 in the SoCon, while East Tennessee State sits atop the conference standings at 18-5 on the year and 12-0 in the league. Furman owns a 55-19 advantage in the all-time series against Wofford but trails East Tennessee State by a 40-34 margin.
The Paladins close out the regular season next weekend, November 14-15, on the road at Western Carolina and Chattanooga.
