ATHENS, GA. -- Dani Carnegie scored a game high 19 points and led an attack of five double figure scorers to power Georgia to a 91-45 victory over Furman in women's basketball action Thursday evening at Stegeman Coliseum.
Carnegie, a 5-foot-9 sophomore guard, connected on 5-of-8 shots from 3-point range on the way to her 19 points and complemented it with eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
She was joined in double figures by Trinity Turner and Enjulina Gonzales with 11 points each, and by Mia Woolfolk and Zhen Craft with 10 points apiece.
Georgia shot 49.3 percent from the field and made 7-of-15 attempts from 3-point range (46.7%).  The Bulldogs  outscored the Paladins 44-12 in the paint and converted 26 Furman turnovers into 26 points.
Georgia raced out to a 25-13 lead after one quarter and took total command in the second period, outscoring the Paladins 31-7 to take a 56-20 lead into halftime.
Raina McGowens and
Chantelle Stuart led Furman with eight points each.
Furman plays at Vanderbilt on Monday in a 7:00 p.m. ET contest.
