GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Coming off a 74-67 win over UNC Asheville, Furman returns to action on Wednesday when it plays host to Presbyterian in a 7:00 p.m. clash at Timmons Arena.
Beginning with Wednesday's game and also including the Paladins' Dec. 14 contest versus Mars Hill, Furman fans are invited to show the power of the Paladin community by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to support local families and spread holiday cheer.
In addition to the toy drive, Furman will sponsor the Ugly Sweater Game on Dec. 14 game against Mars Hill, with Paladin fans asked to wear their favorite festive sweater and enjoy a special visit from Santa Claus. Families can also take part in an official photo with Santa as a perfect holiday memory.
The PC contest will be streamed via ESPN+, and fans can also follow the action via StatBroadcast live stats and receive timely updates and highlight clip thru @FurmanWBB's "X" account. Alyssa Ervin scored 15 points and Furman (3-5) used a powerful late third quarter run to take command en route to the victory over UNC Asheville.
Ervin scored 10 of her 15 points in the second half and combined with
Clare Coyle, who tallied all of her 14 points in the game's final 20 minutes, to fuel an 18-3 outburst over the final 3:21 of third quarter that helped Furman erase a one-point deficit and take a 61-47 lead that proved big enough for the win.

Chantelle Stuart and forward
Channing Warren due to injury.
Stepping up for Stewart and earning the first start of her Paladin career was freshman
Sophia Pearl, who contributed 14 points, five assists, and six steals against the Bulldogs.
Furman is led by a trio of sophomores — Coyle (11.8 ppg, and 7.0 rpg), Ervin (10.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg), and
Raina McGowens (10.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg).
Presbyterian (2-7) comes to Greenville looking to end a four-game losing skid that includes a 68-58 setback to Maryland-Baltimore County on Sunday.
Furman holds a 14-4 edge in its all-time series against PC is a perfect 12-0 versus the Blue Hose in Greenville. Â The Paladins have won the last three meetings, including a 67-60 verdict registered in Clinton during the 2022-23 season.
