Furman Dominates The Paint To Down Bob Jones, 105-57

Bowser Pours In Career-Best 24 Points

Greenville, S.C. – Junior Cooper Bowser poured in a career-high 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting and Furman outscored Bob Jones 60-12 in the paint on its way to a 105-57 victory over the Bruins on Tuesday night at Timmons Arena.

The victory, Furman's third straight and sixth in its last seven games, improved the Paladins to 7-4 on the year.

Bowser went 8-for-8 from the floor in the first half and scored 18 points over the opening 20 minutes to help the Paladins to a 47-30 halftime advantage. Furman outscored the Bruins 58-27 over the final 20 minutes to top 100 points for the first time this season and register its largest margin of victory during the 2025-26 campaign.

Tom House caught fire in the second half to post a season-high 16 points with a 4-for-7 effort from three-point range and Ben Vander Wal hit 6-of-7 shots to finish with 15 points. Charles Johnston netted 12 points and eight rebounds while Asa Thomas rounded out Furman's double-figure scorers with 10 points. Alex Wilkins dished out a career-best nine assists and Owen Ritger added career-highs with six points and seven rebounds off the bench.

The Paladins shot 59% from the field and managed a 26-5 margin in points off turnovers by feasting on 17 Bob Jones miscues. A 46-24 rebounding advantage that included 13 offensive boards led to a 22-1 edge in second chance points for the Paladins.

Justin Skelton led the Bruins with 16 points and five rebounds. Bob Jones shot just 34% from the field, but the Bruins connected on 9-of-25 three-point attempts.

Furman will be idle for exams before returning to action with a trip to New York City on December 18 to face the Manhattan Jaspers.
