GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman indoor track and field teams posted multiple personal bests this weekend at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass., and at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C.

In Boston, senior Dylan Schubert recorded a personal-best time of  7:52.82 to finish 20th collegiately and 28th overall in the 3,000m, while senior Matthew Smith placed 42nd with a time of 4:00.54 in the mile.  On the women's side, junior Carly Wilkes turned in a PR of 16:03.22 in the 5,000m, placing 17th collegiately and 33rd overall, and senior Megan Marvin finished 44th with a time of 4:41.44 in the mile.

At Clemson, the Furman men placed four runners in the top 17, including sophomore Owen Shifflett, who finished 11th at 8:25.01, and senior Casey Burr, who recorded a season-best time of 8:26.57 to finish 12th.  Junior Colton Kempney had a new personal best of 8:27.80 to place 13th, followed by freshman Rives Boltwood in 14th with a personal-best time of 8:28.69.  Senior Nick Goldstein finished 17th at 8:36.33.

Furman will compete at the USC Invite in Columbia, S.C., on February 22.
