GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team completes its two-game road trip Saturday afternoon when it travels to Tempe, Ariz., for a 3 p.m. EST opening draw against the Arizona State Sun Devils from Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.

The Paladins (5-1) suffered their first loss of the season last Sunday with a 13-11 road defeat at UMBC. Furman concluded the contest with 22 shots, 13 ground balls, and 11 draws while forcing the Retrievers into 11 turnovers.
Lily Toole, who was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the third time this season on Tuesday, tied her career high of five goals to lead the Paladins offensively while
Paige Harman contributed four points on two goals and two assists.
Anna Roser provided a hat trick, and
Sofija Buzelis totaled a goal and assist.
Skylar Hilmer won a team best six draws. Three different players had a ground ball and caused turnover. Goalie
Sailor Henderson came off the bench to finish with six saves.
Arizona State enters the weekend with a 6-2 overall record and has won three games in a row after defeating Vanderbilt, 16-15, on March 8. The Sun Devils are under the direction of third-year head coach Taryn VanThof Puls.
Furman and Arizona State are meeting for the first time in program history.
The Paladins return to Paladin Stadium next Saturday, March 22 to host Queens (N.C.) at 2 p.m.
