TEMPE, ARIZ. – Jordyn Behar paced Arizona State with eight points while Lydia Oldknow scored a game high six goals to lead the Sun Devils to an 18-11 victory over the Furman women's lacrosse team in non-conference action, Saturday afternoon at Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.
Furman drops to 5-2 on the season and returns to Paladin Stadium for the first of back-to-back home games next Saturday, March 22 hosting Queens (N.C.) at 2 p.m. With the win, Arizona State improves to 7-2 overall.
The Paladins had three different players record a hat trick led by
Anna Roser's four goals.
Paige Harman and
Lily Toole both contributed three. Roser paced the Furman offense with five points after dishing out an assist while picking up two ground balls along with five other players. Five different players registered a caused turnover, and
Skylar Hilmer won a team best five draws.

Madigan Brewer combined for six saves.
Behar finished with eight points for the Sun Devils on two goals and six assists to lead all players. Arizona State played three different goalies with Katie Vahle registering five saves.
Toole scored Furman's first two goals of the contest with her second cutting its deficit down to 3-2 with 11:25 remaining in the first quarter. The Sun Devils would outscore the Paladins, 5-1, over the final 10:21 of the opening period. Roser made it a 10-5 game at the 9:37 mark of the second quarter before Arizona State closed out the half with three consecutive goals.
The teams combined for just two goals during the third quarter with Roser's second of the game making the score 14-6 with 8:46 to go.
The Sun Devils scored three of the first four goals of the fourth quarter to hold a 17-7 advantage with just under five minutes remaining. Furman responded with a 4-1 run during the final 4:10 to put the final score at 18-11. Harman and Roser combined to score all four goals for the Paladins.
Furman recorded a season high 17 ground balls in the game and forced Arizona State into its third-most turnovers of the year at 15. The Paladins also registered 11 draws.
