GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team begins a two-game road trip Sunday afternoon when it heads to Baltimore, Md., for a 12 p.m. opening draw against the UMBC Retrievers at UMBC Stadium.

The Paladins (5-0) matched their best start in program history Wednesday with an 18-12 victory over Detroit Mercy at Paladin Stadium. Furman equaled the five straight wins recorded by the 2015 squad after outshooting the Titans 29-24 while holding a 22-12 advantage in draws and finishing with 13 ground balls. The 22 draws were the most by the Paladins since registering 23 on February 18, 2024 versus Kennesaw State.
Anna Roser was one of four Furman players to have three or more goals in the victory. She led all players with a game high seven points on six goals and one assist.
Paige Harman added six points on four goals and two assists while
Lily Toole contributed five points on three goals and two assists.
Sofija Buzelis, who also set a new career high with 10 draws, had four points on three goals and an assist. Three different players picked up two ground balls each and
Andrea Fisher caused a team best two turnovers.

Madigan Brewer collected her fourth consecutive win after grabbing five saves.
UMBC enters the matchup 6-1 overall and is coming off a 16-8 defeat to Delaware on Wednesday afternoon. The Retrievers, picked fourth in the America East Preseason Poll, are under the direction of 14
th-year head coach Amy Slade.
The Paladins are facing UMBC for the first time in program history.
Furman is back in action on Saturday, March 15 when it heads to Tempe, Ariz., for a 2 p.m. EST draw against Arizona State.
