GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman's Nysa Males has been named the Southern Conference women's outdoor track athletes of the week, the conference office announced Wednesday. The selection was made by panels of the league's track and field coaches and included all competition from April 30-May 5.
Males competed at the Music City Challenge on May 2, in Nashville, Tenn. After placing sixth in the women's 1,500m with a time of 4:22.75, the Furman freshman is ranked third in the conference this season.
The Paladins will compete at the SoCon Outdoor Track & Field Championship, which will begin on Monday, May 12.
