GREENVILLE, S.C. — Furman University's football team is set to report to campus on Wednesday and open preseason camp on Thursday with a 9:00 a.m. workout at the Bob King Practice Facility.
The Paladins will practice in shorts and helmets on Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Bob King Practice Facility and repeat the schedule on Friday and Saturday, weather permitting. All practice times are subject to change.
A total of 118 players make up this year's squad. Furman has 14 graduate players, nine seniors, 15 juniors, 29 sophomores, and 51 freshmen in its program. Approximately 116 players are set to report on Wednesday.
Furman returns 14 starters and 40 lettermen off last year's squad.
Five Paladins earned preseason all-conference recognition, including four first team picks — offensive tackle
Eli Brasher, tight end
Jackson Pryor, linebacker
Ryan Earl, and placekicker
Ian Williams. Offensive guard
Luke Petit garnered third team recognition.
Williams was named to the Stats Perform Preseason FCS All-America first team, while Petit landed second team honors.
Furman is under the direction of head coach
Clay Hendrix '86, who is entering his ninth season at the helm and 32nd year of service to his alma mater. He sports a 54-37 overall record and 41-21 SoCon worksheet as the Paladins' mentor.
Furman kicks off its 2025 season on Saturday, August 30, versus William & Mary in a 2:00 p.m. ET contest at Paladin Stadium.
