275 Furman Student-Athletes Named To SoCon Academic Honor Roll

2024-25 SoCon Academic Honor Roll

GREENVILLE, S.C. –
A total of 275 Furman student-athletes have been named to the 2024-25 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, which was released on Wednesday by the league office.

Furman's 275 selections represent the 18 intercollegiate sports offered by the university in 2024-25.

The academic honor roll originated in 1988-89, when SoCon athletic directors established the award to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in varsity sports and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher for the academic year, were eligible the entire academic year, and were members of the final squad lists.

Thirty-four Paladins garnered perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the 2024-25 school year: Walker Allen (men's tennis), Walter Anderson (men's golf), Katie Bengough (women's soccer), Ansley Chiang (softball), Luke Clark (football), Evan DiMaggio (football), Ethan Domitrovich (men's cross country/track & field), Lilly Feingold (women's cross country/track & field), Michaela Fisher (women's soccer), Nieva Gaither (women's soccer), Bethany Graham (women's cross country/track & field), Helen Gutierrez (women's soccer), Vivianna Gutierrez (women's soccer), Skylar Hilmer (women's lacrosse), Ivan Horvat (men's soccer), Bailor Hughes (football), Jeremiah Jackson (football), Tara Katz (women's soccer), Christian Kraus (men's soccer), Bella LaChance (women's basketball), Madeline Massie (women's soccer), Jenna Mulhern (women's cross country/track & field), Chandler Parker (volleyball), Anna Roser (women's lacrosse), Audrey Ryu (women's golf), Tanner Schuck (football), Ellie Schulson (women's tennis), Matthew Smith (men's cross country/track & field), Grayson Snead (softball), Grace Thomas (women's tennis), John Travis (men's soccer), Ben VanderWal (men's basketball), and Eric Wilson (football).

Eighty-five Furman student-athletes received the SoCon Commissioner's Medal, which were accorded to student-athletes sporting GPAs of 3.8 or better.

The SoCon had a total of 2,734 selections, the highest in conference history, to the Academic Honor Roll. Of this year's qualifiers, 846 earned the Commissioner's Medal, awarded to student-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.8 or higher throughout the year, and 288 posted perfect 4.0 GPAs.
