GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team kicks off its 2025 campaign this weekend traveling to Atlanta, Ga., for the GSU Invitational hosted by Georgia State at the GSU Sports Arena.
The Paladins open tournament play on Friday taking on West Georgia at 11 a.m. and Presbyterian at 6:30 p.m., followed by facing tournament host Georgia State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Furman finished the 2024 season with a 13-14 overall record and 7-8 mark in the SoCon. The Paladins placed sixth in the SoCon regular season standings and dropped a 3-2 decision to East Tennessee State in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Volleyball Championship.
Furman got its season started on August 22 hosting Emmanuel in an exhibition contest at Alley Gymnasium. Castelloe, Gorman, and Stein each recorded nine kills to pace the Paladins offensively while 11 different players recorded at least one kill.
Emily Navarro (16), Morrissey (15), and
Eva Wheeler (13) combined for 44 assists with Navarro and Morrissey both compiling seven digs. Seekford and Stein led the team with 11 digs.
The Paladins totaled nine blocks in the exhibition with Castelloe, a preseason All-SoCon selection, and
Grainne McGrath both finishing with three.
West Georgia finished last season with a 9-19 overall record while Presbyterian posted a 10-19 mark and Georgia State 17-13.
Furman holds a 3-0 lead in the all-time series over West Georgia and is 20-1 versus Presbyterian. The Paladins trail Georgia State 7-5.
Furman travels to Asheville, N.C., next weekend, September 5-6, to face East Carolina, West Georgia for a second time, and UNC Asheville in the Bulldog Invitational.
