Update On Furman Soccer's Luke Munson

Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's soccer standout Luke Munson, who sustained a traumatic leg injury during the Paladins' victory at Duke on August 27, underwent additional surgery yesterday due to complications caused by the injury, it was announced on Thursday by Paladin head coach Brandon Tucker.

"Luke is an incredible young man who means so much to our program and everyone who knows him," said Tucker. "Our team and the entire Furman Athletics family are rallying around him and his family during this difficult time. Our focus is on supporting him in every way we can as he continues through the recovery process. We ask that everyone respect his privacy and his family's privacy and keep them in your thoughts during this time."

Munson is a key member of the men's soccer program. He started 22 matches at right back for the Paladins in 2025 while helping Furman to a 16-2-5 record, Southern Conference regular season and tournament titles, the school's first NCAA College Cup appearance, and a No. 3 final national ranking.
