Greenville, S.C. – Furman forward Wilfer Bustamante has been named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday morning by the league office.

Bustamante assisted on Grayson Travis' goal in last Tuesday's 1-1 draw at UNC Greensboro and scored a goal in Saturday night's 4-1 triumph over Wofford to propel the Paladins to the SoCon regular season title and No. 1 seed in this week's SoCon Men's Soccer Championship.

The Greenville, S.C., native and J.L. Mann High School product leads the SoCon with 11 goals this season and has earned two SoCon Player of the Week citations and has twice been named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week over the last three weeks. During the three-week span, Bustamante has netted nine goals while notching at least a point in five of the Paladins' last six matches.

The Paladins, 7-3-6 on the season, received a bye to the SoCon semifinal round and will host the winner of Thursday's ETSU-Liberty match on Sunday at 7 p.m. on Seagraves Field at Stone Soccer Stadium. Tickets for Sunday's match can be purchased online by clicking here.
