GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team will entertain Mississippi State Thursday at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, S.C. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
The Paladins, who enter the match with a 3-2 record, have been idle since dropping a 5-2 decision at Charlotte on Jan. 30. Freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Bianca Ceroni scored at flights four and five, respectively, and Ceroni teamed with freshman Elle Warren for a 6-3 victory at number two doubles.
Mississippi State improved to 6-0 with wins over Louisiana Tech (6-1) and Bellarmine (4-0) in Starkville on Sunday. The Bulldogs faced SoCon opponent Samford last month, also in Starkville, and came away with a 6-1 victory.
The two teams have only met once, with Mississippi State coming away with a 6-1 win in Greenville in 2021.
