GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team opens its 2026 season Tuesday evening when it heads to Clemson for a 6 p.m. opening draw versus the Tigers at the Clemson Lacrosse Complex.

The Paladins return a total of 24 letterwinners, including seven starters, from last year's team that posted a school-record 14 wins and claimed a share of the Big South Regular Season Championship for the first time in school history. Furman also advanced to the semifinals of the Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Paladins welcome 18 newcomers to the 2026 roster consisting of 14 freshmen and four transfers.
Furman, who was picked to finish third in this year's Big South Preseason Poll, had two players selected preseason All-Big South in senior
Skylar Hilmer and sophomore
Lily Toole.
Clemson, who enters the season ranked ninth by USA Lacrosse and 12
th by the IWLCA, began its 2026 campaign with a 20-5 victory to Vanderbilt this past Saturday. The Tigers are under the direction of fourth-year head coach Allison Kwolek.
The Paladins are facing Clemson for the third time in program with the Tigers owning a 2-0 lead in the all-time series.
Furman hosts its first home contest of the season Friday, February 20, welcoming Austin Peay to Paladin Stadium for a 6 p.m. contest.
