Greenville, S.C. – Furman basketball's midfielder
Eddrin Bronson and
Ben Vander Wal have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, it was announced on Tuesday by the CSC.
Bronson, a health sciences major, appeared in 34 games and made seven starts as a redshirt sophomore during the 2025-26 season. The Tampa, Fla., native averaged 5.4 points per game and scored a season-high 16 points in a win over VMI and a loss at Western Carolina. He sports a 3.53 GPA.
Vander Wal averaged 7.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game en route to earning Southern Conference All-Defensive Team accolades as a senior. He netted a season-high 15 points versus Bob Jones while scored 13 in victories over Elon and Charleston Southern. A double major in business administration and communications, the Elmhurst, Ill., product boasts a 4.0 GPA.
Bronson and Vander Wal helped Furman to a 22-13 record, SoCon Tournament title and the school's second NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four seasons.
