GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will compete in the 2026 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship Monday through Wednesday at the par 71, 6,766 yard Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C.

The tournament tees off with twosomes at 9 a.m. on Monday, and the Paladins will begin on hole No. 1 at 9 a.m. and will play in a group with UNC Greensboro in the tournament's first round.  Tee times will begin at 9 a.m. off of No. 1 and No. 10 on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well.

Live scoring of the tournament is available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239629/scoring/team.  Admission to the tournament is free to the public.

The Paladin lineup includes senior Harris Barth, senior Zach Frazer, senior Clark Akers, sophomore Ludvig Josefsson, and sophomore David Oliver, IV.  Redshirt sophomore Walter Anderson will travel as an alternate.

"The SoCon Championship is always the event we have most circled on our calendar each year," said Furman head coach Matt Davidson, the reigning SoCon Coach of the Year.  "I am really excited about the host course this year as well, Solina Golf Club.  It will be a fantastic test and truly one that will define the best team that week.  We feel ready for the challenge and the opportunity."

Furman is looking to claim its 14th SoCon crown and first since 2010.  The Paladins turned in a fifth-place finish last season, and Akers and Ludvig tied for 17th.

Furman opened the 2025-26 season at the Gopher Invitational, where Akers and Frazer each shot 4-over to tie for 20th.  The Paladins surged into eighth place as a team after recording a final-round 284.  Barth then won the individual title at the Bearcat Invitational, marking the first individual victory of his career, with scores of 67-69-68=204, and led Furman with a sixth-place finish at SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational.  The Paladins closed out the fall with a fifth-place finish at the Furman Intercollegiate.

In March, Josefsson shot even par and tied for 22nd to lead Furman at the Michael A. Marino Classic in Myrtle Beach, then Barth tied for 18th to help the Paladins to a ninth-place finish at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship, which featured eight Power 4 opponents and six teams ranked among the nation's top 19.

The SoCon currently has five teams ranked among the top 124 in this season's Scoreboard by clippd rankings. Chattanooga leads the league at No. 67, while ETSU is 81st.  UNC Greensboro stands at No. 112, and Furman is ranked 119th.  Western Carolina currently sits at 124th.

The team winner of the SoCon Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Regional, while the individual champion will also earn automatic regional qualification.
