Furman Names Wolfert Associate A.D. For Development

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development Ben Schram has announced the addition of Amanda Wolfert as Associate Athletics Director for Development.

Wolfert, a native of Winston-Salem, N.C., comes to Greenville after spending two-and-a-half years serving at Ohio University as the Associate Director of the Ohio Bobcat Club. She will work primarily on strengthening the Furman Athletics Fund and building athletic endowments, as well as major and planned gifts.

"I am incredibly excited to start this next chapter and look forward to creating meaningful relationships within the Furman Family," Wolfert said. "I'm very grateful to be a part of a team and community that is committed to enhancing the experience of Paladin student-athletes."

She joined the Ohio Bobcat Club in 2023 in the role of Associate Director, managing a team of three. Wolfert planned and executed all events for the Ohio Bobcat Club, while overseeing 1,200 donors and an annual fund and sport specific giving of over $948,000. 

Simultaneously, Wolfert has worked for SP+ Gameday since 2020, participating in numerous world-class events including seven Super Bowls, Indianapolis 500, Breeders' Cup, and NFL Draft. She has served as the AFC Team Manager for each Super Bowl.

She has a natural ability to build meaningful relationships with our donors and alumni, which will make an immediate impact on our program."

Prior to working at Ohio University, she was a Sales Account Manager for Topgolf, where she sold over $1.5 million worth of corporate and social events, achieving 137% of her goal. Wolfert worked as a Sales Manager for REVELxp, where she sold over $583,000 worth of tailgate packages at Ohio State for the 2021 college football season, achieving 120% of her goal.

Wolfert graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science (Sports Administration) and minored in Coaching Education. She later received her Master of Business Administration in 2019 and Master of Sport Administration in 2020 from Ohio University. She also has her Certificate in Data Analytics.
