GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team closes out its preseason slate Sunday afternoon hosting the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in an exhibition contest at 2 p.m. inside Timmons Arena.

Updates will be posted on the Furman volleyball Twitter page (@FurmanVB). Fans can also get their first look at the 2026 Furman squad on Saturday afternoon at its annual Purple-White Scrimmage at 2 p.m. Admission to both matches is free.

Furman enters the season projected to finish third in the Southern Conference with senior middle blocker Tennyson Gorman receiving preseason All-SoCon citations, it was announced on Thursday.

Under the direction of 27^th-year head coach Michelle Young, the Paladins bring back 15 letterwinners from last year's team highlighted by five starters in Gorman, senior middle blocker Izzy Castelloe, senior setter Emily Navarro, junior outside hitter Ashley Stein, and sophomore middle blocker Kacie Moore, as well as senior libero/defensive specialist Kennedy Seekford.

Furman claimed its first 20-win season since 2017 last year, finishing 21-9 overall and 11-5 in the SoCon. The Paladins finished second in the SoCon regular season standings.

UNC Asheville, led by third-year head coach Danielle Marante, went 12-18 last season and 7-7 in the Big South. The Bulldogs were picked fifth in the Big South preseason poll.

The Paladins open their regular season next weekend when they face George Washington, North Florida, and Georgia at the Classic City Clash in Athens, Ga. Furman is slated to play George Washington and North Florida on August 28, and tournament host Georgia on August 29.

Season and single game tickets for the upcoming 2026 season are on sale now. General admission season tickets are priced at $50.
