Women's Soccer Kicks Off SoCon Play This Week Versus Wofford, Tennessee Tech

Paladins Host Terriers On Thursday At 7 P.M.

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's soccer team begins Southern Conference play this week when it hosts Wofford on Thursday night and travels to Tennessee Tech on Sunday afternoon.
 
Thursday's SoCon opener has been tabbed Retro Night at Stone Soccer Stadium. The Paladins and Terriers are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+. Furman and Tennessee Tech clash for the first time as SoCon members on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in Cookeville, Tenn. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. Furman enters league play at 5-3-1 on the season following a 1-0 loss to Davidson on Sunday afternoon at Stone Stadium. The loss snapped Furman's five-match unbeaten streak.
 
Thursday's match marks the 39th all-time meeting between the Paladins and Terriers with Furman holding a 25-9-4 series advantage. The Paladins claimed a 4-0 victory over Wofford in Greenville in 2024 before dropping a 1-0 decision in Spartanburg, S.C., last October. The Terriers arrive in Greenville at 3-3-1 on the year after a 3-0 victory over Winthrop last week.
 
Tennessee Tech is 3-4-2 on the year after dropping a 2-0 decision versus MTSU on Sunday. The Golden Eagles, in their first season as SoCon members, host Chattanooga in their league opener on Thursday before entertaining the Paladins in Cookeville on Sunday at Tech Soccer Field.
 
Furman and Tennessee Tech have met four times with the Golden Eagles holding a 2-1-1 series lead. The last meeting, which came during the 2024 season, ended in a 1-1 tie.
