GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will compete at the 16th annual Rod Myers Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the par 72, 7,154 yard Duke University Golf Club in Durham, N.C.

"The Rod Myers Invitational is an event with a lot of history and we are excited to be a part of it this year," said Furman head coach Matt Davidson, who is in his ninth year leading the Paladin program.  "Duke University Golf Course is one we have not competed on in many years, so the practice round will be key to getting a great feel and familiarity for the course."

The Paladin lineup for the Bearcat Invitational includes sophomore Cameron Reed, freshman Tucker Gutierrez, junior David Oliver IV, graduate student Ben Loomis, and junior Ludvig Josefsson.  Sophomore Benton Manly will compete as an individual.

Furman will be joined in the 13-team field by host Duke, George Mason, Harvard, Northern Illinois, Princeton, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, UTSA, Virginia Tech, Wofford, and Xavier.

The 54-hole tournament begins with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday.  Furman will play in a group with Duke and UNC Wilmington in Monday's two rounds.  The final round is slated for 8 a.m. Tuesday with teams teeing off on No. 1 and No. 10. 

Admission to the tournament free and fans are welcome.  Live tournament scoring will be available via Scoreboard by clippd.

In the Paladins' opening tournament of the 2026-27 season, Reed carded a second-round 63 to tie for 14th at Cincinnati's Bearcat Invitational.
