TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS & ARENA POLICIES
By using this Ticket, the Ticket Holder understands and agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and Arena Policies set forth herein, as well as:
This Ticket is a revocable license, and Furman Athletics may revoke such license and refuse or rescind admission in its sole discretion. Ticket Holder is not guaranteed access to the ticketed event or any other future Furman Athletics events. Ticket Holder grants Furman Athletics and the Southern Conference the non-exclusive, transferable, perpetual right and license to use and to sub-license the use of his or her name and likeness if it is included in any broadcast, photograph, video, or other media (whether now known or hereafter devised) of the event. This Ticket may not be used for advertising, promotions (including contests and sweepstakes), or other commercial purposes without the express prior, written consent of Furman Athletics.
Everyone 3 and older must have a Ticket. Children 2 and under must sit in an adult's lap or must have a ticket seat. Pass outs are forbidden. Tickets will not be replaced if lost, stolen, destroyed, or left at home.
An event may be rescheduled without prior notice. No refunds or exchanges will be issued, even if the date and/or time of the event is changed. Persons purchasing tickets from sources other than the Furman Athletics Ticket Office, ONE FURMAN TIX, or authorized distributors does so at his or her own risk, which may include lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets.
Digital Tickets
Furman Athletics primarily utilizes digital ticketing for all events at Timmons Arena. By purchasing or accepting digital tickets, Ticket Holders understand and agree that:
- Digital tickets must be accessed through the official Furman Athletics mobile app or purchaser's account on the official Furman Athletics ticketing website.
- Screenshots or recordings of digital tickets are not valid for entry. The dynamic barcode on digital tickets refreshes periodically for security purposes.
- Each digital ticket has a unique barcode that will be scanned upon entry. Once scanned, the ticket cannot be reused. The first person to scan a valid ticket will be granted entry.
- Ticket Holders are responsible for maintaining sufficient battery power on their mobile devices to display tickets at the time of entry.
- Ticket Holders experiencing technical difficulties with digital tickets should visit the Timmons Arena Box Office located at the main entrance for assistance prior to the event.
- Digital tickets may be transferred to others through the official Furman Athletics ticketing platform only. Transfers through unauthorized third-party platforms, screenshots, or other methods are not supported and may result in invalid tickets.
- Furman Athletics reserves the right to revoke digital tickets found to be counterfeit, obtained from unauthorized sources, or those that have been reported as lost or stolen.
For those without access to a smartphone or who require a physical ticket for accessibility reasons, please contact the Furman Athletics Ticket Office at least 48 hours prior to the event at 864-294-3267 or tickets@furman.edu.
Assumption of Risk
Attendance at any event may result in risk to Ticket Holder of property damage, and/or bodily or personal injury, including death. By voluntarily attending the ticketed event, Ticket Holders assume all such risks on behalf of themselves and any minors accompanying them, including, but not limited to: harm caused by other spectators; vendors; objects or individuals leaving the court of play; inclement weather; sun exposure; cuts; falls, including falls from or within premium seating areas, open-air suites, the Rogues Hospitality Deck, club areas, the 360-degree concourse, and anywhere else in or around the arena; trips on stairs or level changes within the arena; abrasions; muscle strains and sprains; broken bones; allergic reactions; insect bites; and an inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases that exist in any public places and may be especially dangerous to vulnerable individuals, including, but not limited to, COVID-19.
Ticket Holders are responsible for their own safety and for the safety of any minors accompanying them. Ticket Holders and any minors accompanying them should exercise appropriate caution when using all arena facilities, particularly in premium seating areas and open-air environments. Parents and guardians are specifically responsible for the continuous supervision of children in their care, especially in the Newsom Family Suite Level where barriers could be climbed by unsupervised children, and in the Furman Family Zone. The Furman Family Zone is designed as a play area where families can supervise children while still watching the game; it is not a childcare service. Children must always be supervised by a parent or guardian while in the Furman Family Zone. Furman University is not responsible for injuries resulting from use of arena facilities, including those caused by inadequate supervision of children. Ticket Holders with children agree to always maintain direct line of sight with their children and ensure children do not engage in unsafe behaviors such as climbing on barriers, railings, or fixtures, running in the concourse areas, or engaging in rough play that could result in injury to themselves or others.
Clear Bag Policy
All Ticket Holders must comply with Furman Athletics’ Clear Bag Policy.
Premium Seating
Premium seating areas include the Foster Courtside Seating Section, Ingram Courtside Club, Herring VIP Suite and the Newsom Family Suite Level (private suites and party suites). Access to premium seating areas is restricted to Ticket Holders with appropriate credentials for their respective seating area. Ticket Holders must remain in their designated seating or hospitality areas unless they are accessing concessions, restrooms, or exiting the arena. Furman Athletics reserves the right to establish and enforce specific rules of conduct for each premium seating area, which may be posted at the entrance to such areas or provided to premium seating Ticket Holders. Violation of any premium seating area or other arena rules may result in removal from the arena without refund.
Alcohol Service
Alcoholic beverages are available to Ticket Holders who are of legal drinking age with valid identification. In compliance with state laws and regulations, Furman Athletics:
- utilizes forensic digital identification systems at points of sale to verify the authenticity of identification;
- utilizes internal, random checks of sales locations during events at an appropriate frequency to ensure we are complying with required sales and identification verification procedures;
- is prohibited from accepting vertical identifications cards; and
- does not operate a concession stand designated for students at which it sells alcohol.
Ticket Holders who consume alcohol agree to do so responsibly and acknowledge that Furman Athletics reserves the right to discontinue alcohol service at any time. Furman Athletics will not serve Ticket Holders it determines are intoxicated. Intoxicated individuals may be denied entry or removed from the premises without refund.
All alcohol consumed in the arena must be purchased from authorized Furman Athletics vendors. Ticket Holders may not bring outside alcoholic beverages into the arena.
Ticket Resale Policy
Furman Athletics continues to encourage Ticket Holders to resell or transfer individual game tickets if they are unable to attend an event. However, Furman Athletics prohibits the purchase and resales of tickets by ticket brokers. Ticket brokers are defined as season ticket account Holders who purchase tickets with the primary intent of reselling their tickets. Furman Athletics reserves the right to monitor ticket sales, transfers, and use and withhold season ticket renewal opportunities or cancel ticket orders from any account that exhibits activity consistent with that of a ticket broker. Likewise, Furman Athletics reserves the right to withhold or alter The Furman Athletic Fund membership level benefits for any account that it deems, in its sole discretion, is functioning as a ticket broker.
Season Ticket Holders
Season Ticket Holders are expected to comply with all arena rules and policies. In addition to the enforcement measures outlined in this policy, Season Ticket Holders who violate arena rules or policies may have their season tickets cancelled for the remainder of the current season without refund. Furman Athletics also reserves the right to deny renewal opportunities for future seasons based on violations of arena rules or policies. This applies to all season ticket packages, including those for premium seating areas. The decision to cancel, or deny renewal of, season tickets is final, not appealable, and at the sole discretion of Furman Athletics.
Foster Courtside Seating Section Rules
The Foster Courtside Seating Section provides an unparalleled basketball experience with proximity to the court and players. Due to this unique location, additional rules apply to courtside seat Holders:
- Zero-Tolerance Policy: Courtside seat Holders must always maintain appropriate behavior. The following actions will result in immediate removal from the arena without refund and possible revocation of courtside seating privileges:
- Directing profane, inappropriate, or threatening remarks toward players, coaches, officials, or staff;
- Making unwarranted physical contact with any game participant or official;
- Throwing objects of any kind;
- Attempting to enter or stepping onto the court; or
- Disrupting the competition or experience of other fans
- Movement Restrictions: While courtside seat Holders are always encouraged to briefly stand and spontaneously cheer in reaction to exciting plays, prolonged standing or moving away from your seat during game action is prohibited. The same bench decorum rules that apply to student-athletes and coaches also apply to courtside seat Holders.
- Technical Foul Liability: Per NCAA rules, inappropriate behavior by courtside seat Holders may result in a technical foul against Furman University. Seat Holders whose behavior results in a technical foul will be immediately removed and may have their courtside privileges permanently revoked.
- Compliance with Staff: Courtside seat Holders must immediately comply with all requests from arena staff, officials, and security personnel regarding arena operations and emergency procedures.
- Courtside Assumption of Risk: Due to the proximity to the court, courtside seat Holders acknowledge an increased risk of contact with players, game equipment, or other objects leaving the court. Ticket Holders assume all risks associated with this premium seating location.
- Guest Notification: Primary Ticket Holders are responsible for informing all guests using their courtside tickets about these special rules and expectations.
Furman Athletics reserves the right to relocate courtside seat Holders to other seating areas if their behavior does not meet these expectations, even if such behavior does not rise to the level of ejection from the arena.
Accessibility Accommodations
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Furman University is committed to ensuring that no otherwise qualified individual with a disability is excluded from participation in, subjected to discrimination in connection with, or denied the benefits of any University programs or activities due to their disability. Furman University is committed to providing an accessible experience for all patrons at Timmons Arena.
- Accessible Seating: Timmons Arena offers designated accessible seating areas throughout the venue, including in premium seating sections. Companions may be seated adjacent to the accessible seating areas.
- Accessible Entrances: The main entrance of Timmons Arena is fully accessible. The entrance on the left front doors have power-assisted doors.
- Accessible Restrooms: All restrooms in Timmons Arena are accessible and equipped with accessible stalls. Family/companion restrooms are located on the main concourse near section 116.
- Service Animals: Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are welcome in Timmons Arena. Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times.
- Assistive Listening Devices: Complimentary assistive listening devices are available at the Box Office located near the main entrance. A valid ID is required and will be returned when the device is returned.
- Accessible Concessions: Lowered counters are available at select concession stands throughout the arena. Staff are available to assist patrons who may need additional help.
- Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking spaces are available in the parking lots adjacent to Timmons Arena. A valid accessible parking permit must be displayed.
Furman University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. Enforcement of Arena Rules and Policies
Furman University reserves the right to enforce all of its applicable policies, including these arena rules and policies, and its applicable University Non-Academic Administrative Policies. Violations may result in the following consequences:
- All persons that violate arena rules or policies may be subject to removal from the premises, issuance of a trespass notice, citation, arrest, or other appropriate legal action.
- Students that violate these arena rules, policies, or other University may be subject to the above consequences and/or face disciplinary action under the University's Student Conduct Code using applicable Student Conduct Procedures.
- Faculty and staff violating arena rules or policies may be subject to all of the above consequences and may additionally face disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment in accordance with applicable University employment policies.
Furman Athletics, Furman University Police Officers, and Furman University’s authorized agents have full authority to enforce these rules and policies. Decisions regarding removal from the arena are final and not subject to appeal. Ticket Holders removed from the arena for policy violations are not entitled to refunds.
